About the Images
It’s hard to believe February is already coming to an end—especially when January felt like it lasted 37 gazillion years! But I couldn’t be happier that spring is almost here (at least on the calendar), with summer just around the corner.
Today’s post showcases a couple of poses from the Spring Breeze pose pack by -Extra-, available at the Spring Fling event from March 1–30. The pack includes mirrored poses, with and without facial expressions (not used here), plus an ivy-covered swing that’s PBR-enabled. You can also grab the swing (without poses) as a free gift at the event!
Serena is wearing IKON’s stunning new Reign eyes, along with the charming Viola dress and bolero sweater by Tres Blah. These items were featured at the February round of FaMESHed, but they should be available in the mainstores after the event ends.

The Story
As the sun began its slow descent behind the trees, Serena drove down the winding country road, her fingers gripping the steering wheel a little too tightly. The photography job she had just finished had been long and exhausting, her mind weighed down by deadlines, client demands, and the constant need for perfection. The tension in her shoulders refused to ease, no matter how many deep “cleansing” breaths she took.
Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw it: a forgotten swing hanging from an ancient oak tree just off the road. Thick vines of ivy curled around the ropes, and the wooden seat was weathered and smooth. It looked as though it had been waiting for years, untouched and undisturbed. Something about it tugged at her, an unspoken invitation.
Without a second thought, Serena pulled over onto the grassy shoulder, turned off the engine, and kicked off her shoes. The ground beneath her feet was cool and soft with the remnants of winter giving way to spring. She walked toward the swing, her fingers brushing the leaves of the ivy as she settled onto the seat. The ropes creaked faintly as she pushed off, swaying gently, the scent of earth and damp moss filling her lungs.

She let out a slow breath, her body relaxing for the first time that day. The forest around her was alive with quiet sounds: the rustling of branches, the distant call of a bird, the whisper of the wind. For a moment, she closed her eyes, feeling the gentle rhythm of the swing. The weight of the day slipped from her shoulders as she let herself drift, toes grazing the ground before pushing off again.
Memories surfaced, unbidden—of childhood summers spent at the park, of swinging higher and higher, believing she could touch the sky. Back then, there had been no deadlines, no stress, no weight of adulthood pressing down on her. Just laughter, warm sunshine, and the exhilaration of flight.
She tilted her head back, watching the golden light filter through the leaves, and smiled. The worries that had felt so overwhelming now seemed distant, insignificant against the vastness of the world around her. She stayed like that for a while, letting the swing carry her forward and back, feeling the steady rhythm soothe her frayed nerves.
Eventually, the chill of the evening air nudged her back to reality. With one last gentle swing, she slowed to a stop, her bare feet sinking into the cool earth. She ran her fingers over the ivy-covered ropes before stepping away as if silently thanking the swing for its quiet comfort.
As she walked back to her car, Serena felt lighter, as though the forest had absorbed her worries, leaving her with nothing but the hush of the trees and the memory of a peaceful moment stolen from time. She slipped on her shoes, started the engine, and pulled back onto the road, carrying with her a newfound sense of calm and the reminder that sometimes, the simplest detours are the ones that heal the most.
