About the Images

When I saw this classy-yet-casual skirt and top combo by Belle Epoque at the current round of FaMESHed, I knew it would be perfect for Luna. Houndstooth is always a sophisticated look, and I love the way the skirt dresses up the cropped t-shirt. The little fanny pack is also a cute touch.

Luna’s sassy hair is a new-ish style called Sage by Unorthodox. The main part of the hair is unrigged and resizeable, so you can position it however you want. The hairbase is part of Unorthodox’s Scalpz system, which is nicely done and fits a variety of heads, including Lelutka, Genus, Lullabeebs, and Toddleedoo. To be honest, though, I’m not exactly sure how or if this system is better than BOM, other than the convenience of its Save HUD, where you can store twenty-four of your favorite hairbases.

Also of note are Luna’s eyes. They’re the new Splendor Eyes by IKON that are available at the current round of FaMESHed. She’s wearing the Cocoa color.

Finally, I’d been looking for a new skin for Luna, but I just didn’t like anything she tried on… until I found this gorgeous new skin by MILA. It’s called Jourdan, and you can find it at the current round of LEVEL. It comes in a variety of colors (browless and two brow colors) and includes a BOM shine reducer and a shape for LeLutka Briannon. I love her new look!

The Story

Luna loved the early mornings, especially when the streets were still quiet, and the only sound was her heels clicking on the cobblestones. Today, she wore a black and white houndstooth skirt and a cropped black t-shirt that gave her an air of understated elegance. As the owner of The Honey Brew, her small coffeehouse, Luna had a lot to do before the day began, but she never rushed through her walk. Mornings were her time to savor the stillness.

The village had a serene charm in the early light, with its old stone buildings and festive decor spilling over with the colors of autumn. The sun had just begun to rise, casting a soft, golden glow over the rooftops. As Luna passed by Mrs. Rowan’s bakery, the comforting scent of fresh bread greeted her. She smiled, knowing they both shared a love for the early hours.

“Morning, Luna!” Mrs. Rowan called, her voice warm as she leaned out of the shop’s window.

“Good morning!” Luna replied, waving as she continued down the street. “I’ll see you later.”

She passed the village square where the old stone fountain trickled softly, and a few pigeons fluttered around, pecking at crumbs left by an earlier passerby. The flower shop was next, and as always, Iris was outside arranging a colorful display of fresh bouquets.

“Looking sharp, Luna,” Iris teased, glancing at her outfit. “Ready for the morning rush?”

“Always,” Luna said with a grin. “I’m expecting it to be busy.”

Luna loved owning The Honey Brew. With its large windows and rustic wooden beams, her coffeehouse had become a local favorite over the years. Inside, it was cozy and inviting, with soft lighting, warm colors, and the comforting aroma of coffee and baked goods always lingering in the air.

When she arrived, the café was still dark and quiet. Luna unlocked the door and flicked on the lights, setting the space aglow. The scent of yesterday’s roasted beans and fresh pastry dough greeted her like an old friend. She moved behind the counter, tying on her apron and mentally running through her checklist for the morning.

The first task was always the pastries. Luna had prepped the dough the night before, but there was still plenty of work to be done. She slipped into the kitchen to start warming the oven and began rolling out croissants, folding layers of butter into the dough. The rhythm of it was comforting—rolling, folding, cutting—each step bringing the pastry closer to perfection.

Once the croissants were in the oven, she whipped up a batch of muffins, their tops studded with blueberries, before stepping back out to the front. She turned on the espresso machine, the low hum filling the café as she prepared for the first customers of the day. The croissants puffed up in the oven, filling the space with their buttery aroma, and Luna poured herself a small cup of coffee and took a moment to enjoy the peace before the rush.

It wasn’t long before the bell above the door chimed. Sam, her barista, had arrived and hurried behind the counter, tying on his apron with a grin.

“Morning, boss,” he said, eyeing the pastries as they came out of the oven.

“Morning, Sam,” Luna replied, setting the tray of golden, flaky croissants into the display case. “Ready for another busy day?”

“Always,” he said with a wink, getting to work behind the counter.

Soon, the café was alive with the sound of milk frothing, coffee brewing, and customers chatting as they filed in for their morning orders. Luna moved easily between the kitchen and the front counter, checking on the pastries, greeting regulars, and helping Sam during the busier moments.

The Honey Brew had become a staple in the village. Luna took pride in knowing her customers’ orders by heart, from the elderly man who always ordered a flat white to the young woman who loved her lavender latte. The café wasn’t just a place for coffee—it was a gathering spot, a community hub where people could connect over something as simple as a cup of coffee and a warm pastry.

By mid-morning, the café was buzzing, and Luna took a brief moment to step back and look around. The sunlight streamed in through the windows, casting a soft glow over the wooden tables, and the smell of coffee mingled with the sweetness of fresh baked goods. She smiled, a quiet satisfaction settling over her.

Owning The Honey Brew was hard work, but it was hers. It was a place where people felt welcome, where the scent of coffee and pastries always lingered in the air, and where even the busiest mornings felt like a kind of magic.
