About the Image
I love Halloween, and I especially love a good witch costume. PurpleMoon’s new Witch outfits are an unusual take on the good and wicked witches of Oz and were lots of fun to style!
- The Good Witch of the South outfit that Ella Rose is wearing (right) is available at the Spookzilla Hunt (Slytherin sim). Each piece costs $25L, and there are six pieces to find to complete the outfit. The Spookzilla Hunt ends on 3 November 2024.
- Serena is wearing The Wicked Witch of the West outfit (center), which was available at the Nightshade Event. Unfortunately, the event closed on 28 October, but I’d imagine the outfit will be available at the PurpleMoon main store going forward.
- Luna is wearing The Wicked Witch of the East outfit (right), which was out for The Saturday Sale last weekend. I believe it is still on sale for $100L at the main store.
- There is also an outfit for The Good Witch of the North. It’s a gorgeous dress, but the skirt is enormous and would have required its own picture!
- Each outfit comes with a magical staff (not pictured).
Serena’s eyes are the new Wicked Eyes by IKON. They’re not her usual style, but I think they work for a wicked witch! You can grab a pair until 22 November at the Kinky Event (afterward at the IKON main store). Ella Rose’s pink-purple eyes are IKON’s recent release, Impetuous Eyes. They were available at FaMESHed until a few days ago but should be at the main store soon, if not already.
If you’re looking for fantasy skins for Halloween, check out Guapa and Velour. The face skins on Ella Rose (pink) and Luna (red) were on sale for Happy Weekend at Guapa. They’re very pretty, and I believe the skin comes in “regular” colors if pink and red (or green or a variety of other colors) aren’t your style. Serena’s scaly green skin was on sale at Velour’s weekend sales. The matching body skins are by Velour.
So, why is there a floating pink bubble in the picture? Read the story below to find out!

The Story
Halloween night cast an otherworldly glow over the Enchanted Woods of Oz, where three witches gathered under cover of thick, swaying trees. This was no ordinary gathering. While all of Oz saw these witches as powerful forces of opposing intentions—good and wicked—their hidden bond was a secret few could have imagined. They were the Wicked Witch of the West, the Wicked Witch of the East, and Locasta, the Good Witch of the South. For one night each year, the witches would put aside their façades and celebrate as friends.
Evanora, the Wicked Witch of the East, stirred her bubbling cauldron of punch. Dressed in a blue dress with striking red trim that matched her crimson skin, she gave her friends a mischievous grin. “I’ve added a touch of Forgetfulness Potion to the grove. If anyone from Oz wanders too close, they’ll forget their purpose entirely and turn back for home!”
“Oh, Evanora,” Theodora, the Wicked Witch of the West, giggled. Her green skin glowed against the shadows as she adjusted her large, black hat. “If any lion-hearted fool even comes close, I’ll put a proper fright into them!” She let her fingers dance with faint, emerald flames.
Standing beside them, Locasta, the Good Witch of the South, only smiled. With her pink gown fluttering in the breeze, she adjusted the soft lights she’d conjured to hover like fireflies around the grove. Her skin, the faintest shade of pink, gleamed warmly in the lantern light, adding an inviting glow to the night. “Now, now, let’s not scare off everyone, you two,” she chided. “We want a party, not a haunted house!”
But Evanora only smirked. “What’s a Halloween celebration without a bit of fright?”
Theodora crossed her arms with a sly grin. “Speaking of fright, where’s Glinda? I thought she would have arrived by now. She probably can’t decide which spell to use to get here.”
They all laughed, sharing a knowing look. Though they knew Glinda, the Good Witch of the North had a reputation as the most proper and poised of Oz’s witches. Her penchant for dramatic entrances was as predictable as Theodora’s tendency to curse anything that crossed her path.
Then, with perfect timing, a pink shimmer appeared in the sky. Down drifted Glinda in her signature pink bubble, sparkling as it reflected the light from the enchanted lanterns. Her blue eyes twinkled as she stepped out in her enormous flowing pink gown, her wand in hand, and greeted her friends with a warm, bright smile.
“My apologies, ladies!” Glinda called sweetly, brushing invisible dust from her gown. “The Munchkins had a thousand questions, and it took all my magic just to get away without too much fuss.”
“Still on Munchkin duty, I see,” Evanora teased, grinning.
“Yes, darling, and it’s exhausting,” Glinda said with a dramatic sigh. “But now that I’m here let’s make this a Halloween to remember!”
The four witches gathered by the cauldron of punch, and Locasta raised her goblet with a twinkle in her eyes. “To our long-standing friendship, the best-kept secret in all of Oz!”
“To trouble,” Evanora replied, her red eyes glinting with mischief.
“To not getting caught!” Theodora added, yellow eyes flashing as she clinked her goblet against the others’.
“To Oz!” Glinda finished, raising her glass high. They laughed together, a strange harmony of “good” and “wicked,” but united in a bond known only to the four of them.
The party unfolded with magic that only the witches of Oz could conjure. Locasta called forth shimmering pink butterflies that floated among the trees, filling the grove with a warm, enchanted glow. Theodora summoned up her ghostly green mist, making it drift around the clearing, adding an eerie touch as it curled through the pumpkins they had carved. Evanora’s cauldron boiled over with her potent punch, which glowed a brilliant blue and illuminated the playful smirk on her face.
Evanora leaned over to Glinda, giving her a sly smile. “So, North Witch, what do the Munchkins think of their perfect Glinda attending a party with us?”
“Oh, they have no idea what I do on Halloween,” Glinda chuckled. “The Lollipop Guild would probably faint if they knew. And imagine their horror if they saw Theodora here in all her glowing green glory!”
“Or you, all bubbly and sparkling,” Theodora countered, raising an eyebrow. “You know, they’d probably think I was trying to corrupt you.”
The four witches cackled in unison, knowing how unlikely it was that anyone in Oz would understand the friendships that lay beneath the surface. They were painted as either good or wicked by the world, but here, under the light of their spells, those labels no longer held any weight.
As the hours passed, they told stories of their recent exploits: Glinda’s Munchkin politics, Evanora’s latest village-wide spell to protect her borders, and Theodora’s thunderstorm that had spooked even the bravest Winkie soldiers.
Finally, as dawn neared, they joined hands around the cauldron for one last spell. With fingers linked, they whispered incantations, filling the air with magic that shimmered in pink, green, red, and white light. The spell would protect their secret and hold their bond true until next Halloween.
“We’ll do this again next year, of course?” Locasta asked, her gown still aglow with the residue of their magic.
“Wouldn’t miss it for all of Oz,” Theodora replied, her yellow eyes softening.
“Under one condition,” Evanora said with a grin. “Glinda, you must promise not to be so late!”
The witches shared a last round of laughter before each departed her own way. Evanora and Theodora vanished in a flash of blue and green smoke, Locasta with a swirl of sparkling pink light. And, last of all, Glinda climbed into her sparkling pink bubble and drifted north across the dawn-lit fields.
All of Oz would continue to believe in the tales of good and wicked, light and dark. But the true magic of Oz remained alive… hidden within the bond of four unlikely friends.
