About the Image
It looks like Mother Nature hasn’t received the Spring is Coming memo just yet—at least not here in California. Cold rain and gusty winds are sticking around for the rest of the week, but I’m more than ready for some sunshine! Oh well, I suppose March showers will bring May flowers, and given how much we need the rain, I’ll take it.
Serena, on the other hand, is fully embracing spring vibes with her latest look. She’s wearing the gorgeous Kate skirt and top set by Belle Epoque, a stunning new release for the current round of Anthem. With ten beautiful color options, I couldn’t resist the soft lavender shade since it just feels like a breath of fresh spring air. Her eyeshadow, a new release from WarPaint, is available at this month’s Collabor88, adding the perfect touch of seasonal charm. Completing the look is her effortlessly chic hairstyle, Alchemy by FAGA, which can be worn with or without the delicate barrettes.
And, of course, no spring ensemble is complete without flowers! Serena carries a charming bouquet of purple daisies, the Fighting Flowers by Bad Unicorn. Designed to be used for both flirting and fighting, Serena, ever the romantic, opts for the flirty approach, holding them with effortless grace. With eight petal colors to choose from, these blooms add the perfect finishing touch to her spring-ready style.

The Story
Serena stepped out of the boutique with a small shopping bag swinging at her side, the lavender mini dress she wore catching the afternoon sunlight. The soft fabric swayed with each step as she strolled down the sidewalk, her lavender heels tapping gently against the pavement. The air smelled like spring—fresh, floral, and full of life. She tucked a stray strand of blonde hair behind her ear, her gray eyes scanning the street for her next stop.
A small flower shop caught her attention, its large glass window displaying a gorgeous arrangement of seasonal blooms. The shop’s name, Ever After Florals, was painted in elegant gold lettering on the door. Serena pushed it open, a tiny bell jingling overhead.
Inside, the air was thick with the scent of roses, lilies, and fresh greenery. Baskets of wildflowers lined the shelves, and an older woman in an apron was trimming stems at the counter. Serena wandered deeper into the shop, her gaze flitting over the colorful bouquets wrapped in parchment paper and tied with twine.
“Looking for something special, dear?” the florist asked, giving Serena a warm smile.
Serena considered for a moment before her eyes landed on a cluster of purple daisies near the window. Their petals were a soft lilac shade, their centers golden and cheerful. Something about them felt right—light, playful, yet full of quiet charm.
“I’ll take these,” she said, pointing at the daisies.
“Ah, an excellent choice,” the florist mused as she plucked the bouquet from the display. “Purple daisies symbolize enchantment and new beginnings. A very thoughtful flower.”
Serena chuckled. “Then I suppose they chose me.”
The florist wrapped the bouquet carefully, handing it to Serena with a knowing smile. “Enjoy your flowers, dear.”
With her new purchase in hand, Serena stepped back onto the cobblestone street, inhaling the faint, sweet scent of the daisies. The late afternoon sun cast golden streaks across the sky, the promise of an early evening settling over the town.
She had no particular destination, but the flowers made her feel like taking her time. She wandered through a quiet park, where children played near a fountain, their laughter mingling with birds chirping in the trees. She passed by a café with tables set outside, people sipping coffee and chatting, and for a moment, she imagined Luna working behind the counter, making intricate latte art while chatting with customers.
Pausing near a bench, Serena sat down, adjusting her dress as she admired the daisies in her lap. She traced her fingers lightly over the petals, feeling their delicate texture. It was funny how something as simple as flowers could brighten her day.
She pulled out her phone, snapping a quick photo of the bouquet against the fading sunlight. The purple petals contrasted beautifully with the warm hues of the sky. She hesitated for a moment before sending the picture to Gavin with a simple message: Picked these up today. Thought they looked nice.
It didn’t take long for a reply to come in. They suit you. Soft and lovely.
Serena smiled, the warmth of his words settling in her chest. She leaned back on the bench, letting the peaceful moment stretch out, the world moving gently around her.
For now, she was content with the flowers, the quiet, and the feeling that sometimes, the best moments were the simplest ones.
